Hamilton, VA, is only a mile east of Purcellville, VA, and uses all of Purcellville's amenities. It is a desirable commuter location because it is nestled between Purcellville, VA, and Leesburg, VA, connected by Colonial Highway and the busier, Rt 7 Highway. A commuter bus parking lot and a new sports complex are on the east side of town. Hamilton, Virginia, is an excellent place to buy a home in Loudoun County because of its charming rural ambiance. Homes are usually detached single-family on lot sizes ranging from .25 to 3-5 acres; however, there are a few older townhomes. There is little to no retail in Hamilton aside from the Hamilton Mercantile Store, which offers a coffee bar, fresh baked goods, and some local farm products and gift items. Restaurants in Hamilton are Lowry's Crab Shack and the Hamilton Station Gastropub. There is a post office and an elementary school plus a great park for kids with a pavilion for picnics and gatherings.
