The community was started in the 1980s and today is essentially built-out. Within Potomac Falls you’ll find an assortment of townhomes, condominiums, and single-family homes constructed by a wide variety of builders. Potomac Falls homes typically sit on large lots of two or more acres which affords residents highly desired privacy. Adding to its appeal, within the community are multiple shopping centers and fabulous dining options, and its western boundary is the C&O Canal National Historic Park which contributes to the natural beauty of the area, in addition to providing easy to access recreational opportunities.
While Potomac Falls real estate is nicely spaced with homes separated by long driveways, there is also an inviting, friendly atmosphere here which is fostered by the many annual events. Events are hosted by the Potomac Falls Homeowners Association and include festivities like the Fourth of July celebration. Many other get-togethers are held at the Old Angler’s Inn, and it isn’t uncommon for residents to host small gatherings for neighbors in their homes. Speaking of homes, there are approximately 262 houses in Potomac Falls. The original homes in Potomac Falls are primarily traditional farmhouse-style houses and brick Colonials, and some of those have been torn down and replaced with larger, more luxurious properties.
